About Studio Sound Electronics:
Studio Sound Electronics started as a small electronics service facility in Louisville, Kentucky in 1983.   We moved to New Albany, Indiana two years later.  Since that time, Studio Sound Electronics has grown to be a significant specialty parts supplier to individuals and dealers worldwide.  Our main line of products focuses on the repair of guitar amplifiers and guitar effects pedals, along with specialized tools to aid in the repair of those musical devices.  Now located in Clearwater, Florida, we were a pioneer in an early version of online ordering via the Internet in 1996.  Now, 30 years later, our business has grown tremendously due to the support of our customers around the world.   Our goal is to exceed your expectations on every transaction.  Orders are accepted through secure online ordering. We maintain a large stock of commonly needed  guitar amplifier parts and kits, specialty electronic parts, tools, and supplies of all types.  We offer competitive pricing, and we ship worldwide.

The entire risk as to the quality and performance of this data is borne by you. Should any of this information prove defective, you and not Studio Sound Electronics shall assume the entire liability. Further, neither the author nor Studio Sound Electronics shall be liable for any special, exemplary or consequential damages resulting from the use of this material.

Subject to the limitations set forth in this Agreement, Studio Sound Electronics agrees to transfer to Customer, at the time of sale and to the extent transferable, whatever warrantees Studio Sound Electronics receives from the manufacturers of the product(s) Studio Sound Electronics sold to Customer, if any.  However, the limited warranties set forth herein do not cover defects, damage or failure caused by: 1) a defect or failure in any product not supplied by Studio Sound Electronics; 2) use of the Product for a purpose or in a manner for which the product was not intended or designed; 3) improper handling by any other person or entity; 4) improper storage, installation, maintenance, alteration, modification or repair by any other person or entity; 5) abuse, abnormal use or accidents;  6) post-delivery breakage or 7) and the other limitations or exclusions set forth by the manufacturers with respect to any warranties extended by them.

Studio Sound Electronics does not extend and in fact expressly disclaims any and all other warranties of any kind, express, implied, statutory or otherwise including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. 

Purchasers of our products need to be experienced in the repair of electronic devices, and be aware that tube amplifiers utilize dangerous high voltages which may exceed 600 volts DC.   Capacitors in the power supplies of these tube amplifiers can store this high voltage for an extended period of time even after the amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power source.   These voltages can be lethal!   Users should be knowledgeable about how to safely discharge these capacitors, and then test to ensure that all stored voltage has diminished before touching any components inside the amplifier with bare hands.   If the user is uncertain about these procedures, the repair should NOT be attempted and the amplifier should be taken to a reputable amplifier repair technician.  As noted below, Studio Sound Electronics is not in any way responsible for injury up to and including death caused by electrical shock from the amplifier during or following the repair.   Further, improper installation of parts purchased from Studio Sound Electronics can be the cause of electrocution, or damage to other parts of the amplifier.  Studio Sound Electronics is not liable for such injury or damage.

Studio Sound Electronics' liability on any claim for loss or damage arising out of or connected in any manner with the supplying of any products or services hereunder, or the sale, resale, operation or use allocable to such products or part thereof involved in the claim, whether based on contract, warranty, tort (including negligence and for property damage and death) or other grounds, shall not in any event exceed the price allocable to such products or part thereof involved in the claim, regardless of cause or fault. In no event shall Studio Sound Electronics be responsible to customer or any third party for any consequential, incidental or indirect damages or physical harm, including but not limited to electrocution, injury up to and including death, irrepairable damage to the amplifier, loss of profits, revenues, sales, data, business goodwill or use, even if Studio Sound Electronics has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage. The parties agree that without this limitation of liability, Studio Sound Electronics would not have agreed to the price or terms and conditions of this agreement. The limitation of liability set forth herein applies both to products and services purchased or otherwise provided hereunder. In no event shall Studio Sound Electronics' liability exceed the price of the products and services purchased or otherwise provided. 

If and to the extent Studio Sound Electronics provides Customer with advice or other assistance concerning any products supplied hereunder, or any equipment, system or the like in which the product may be installed, Studio Sound Electronics' giving of such advice or assistance will not subject Studio Sound Electronics to any liability, whether based on contract, warranty, tort (including negligence) or other grounds.

The products sold by Studio Sound Electronics are not authorized for use in high risk applications, including but not limited to, life safety, life support, life-sustaining, surgical, human implant, nuclear or aircraft applications, or for any use or application in which the failure of a single component could create a situation in which property damage, personal injury or death is likely to occur. Customer assumes all risk and liability for use of Studio Sound Electronics' products in any such applications and agrees to indemnify and defend Studio Sound Electronics against any and all damages, costs and expenses that may be incurred, including without limitation attorneys fees and costs relating to any lawsuit or threatened lawsuit, arising out of the use of products in unauthorized applications. 

Some of the products we sell including but not limited to audio amplifiers, transformers, capacitors, resistors, diodes, semiconductors and electron tubes are operated at high voltages that can cause serious injury or death if safe work practices are not heeded. Do not attempt to build, repair, modify, test, calibrate, operate, transport, store or even touch electronic equipment unless you have been trained to do so by a qualified professional technician. If you have any doubts whatsoever about your ability to safely use any of the products we sell consult with a professional technician in your area prior to purchase.

If you experience problems in checking out (such as inability to enter a credit card expiration date, the cause is almost always trying to check out using a smart phone such as an iPhone or Android.    Smart phones are blocked from checkout for security reasons.    Use a computer, laptop or notebook instead.
