JJ EL84 - MATCHED PAIR
JJ EL84's (also known as 6BQ5) tubes are
extremely reliable and sound great. Nice mids, sparkling highs and solid
bottom end characterize this tube. From a construction standpoint we think JJ
has hit the mark. In the Vox AC30 the JJ EL84 tube will really deliver the
VOX chime with lots of swirl and shimmery harmonic content. In the little Blues
Junior just crank it up and you get a great, nasty, overdriven sound.
These are the same tubes that Groove Tubes relabels as GT-EL84-S. NOTE: Due to the larger diameter of the glass envelope, this EL84 will NOT fit in the following amplifiers:
